When ordered online, mantels must be paid in full at the time of placing the order. Mantel characteristics may include (but are not limited to) natural weathering, authentic cuts, artifacts, peg holes and mortise notch pockets. Included: Pressure washed, kiln dried and insect sprayed. Surface de-nailed only - nails, etc. may exist below the surface. Customer is required to have proper equipment for unloading. Mantels are inventoried and sold plus or minus 1". We allow a 1" variance on our Reclaimed Hand Hewn Timbers. EX: 10" x 10" beam may measure 9" x 10" in the center but on both ends measures 10" x 10". Please make sure to unwrap mantels as soon as they are received so any built up moisture is released and the mantels can acclimate.

Our wooden fireplace mantels will be custom-cut to your specified length, surface de-nailed, treated for insects, pressure washed and kiln dried to ensure durability and sustainability. They are surface de-nailed only, so please keep in my that nails, etc. may still exist below the surface. Our antique timbers are normally shipped as raw pieces, but we also offer a natural wax finish if you prefer a softer look.
Lead time for fireplace mantels can vary. Please understand that lead times are based on scheduling and are subject to change due to orders received. Mantels purchased without a custom finish or length can typically ship in 2 business days. Mantels purchased with a custom length and/or color can typically ship in up to 1 week.
Mantels are typically shipped via common carrier. Carriers require a contact name and contact number. The customer is responsible for unloading all material from the back of the delivery truck to the designated staging area. Material is commonly packaged for forklift unloading. However, they may be hand unloaded if the mantel size permits.
Shipping damage, however unusual, may occur. If a shipment is received damaged, it must be noted on the delivery receipt. Taking pictures of the damaged material is encouraged. Reclaimed DesignWorks will not be responsible for filing a claim with the freight company without a notation on the delivery receipt.
